Our Story

45 years and still rammin’

This iconic Texas Roadhouse was opened in the old Fincke’s Meat Market building (circa 1906) in 1979 by Pat Molak and Mary Jane Nalley.

The owners have a lot of experience in restoring old buildings with their revitalization of Gruene Hall and the creation of The Gristmill River Restaurant and Bar, in Gruene Historic District in the mid-seventies. Just down the road from San Antonio, Gruene Historic District at New Braunfels is a hot spot for the locals and one of Texas’ unique and very popular destination attractions for visitors.

Just as in Gruene, the atmosphere at Jo Street is also filled with character, charm and unique features such as the uneven wooden floor and the 500-year-old tree that makes its home inside the middle of the restaurant. The old Fincke’s neon still hangs inside.

Jo Street is also well known for its friendly service, world class chicken fried steak, succulent pork chops & chicken, fresh fish, gourmet salads, scrumptious sandwiches, handmade desserts and upper end wines at uncommonly affordable prices.

Through our commitment, experience and expertise, Josephine Street has established a relationship with our customers that will last a lifetime! We invite you to join us!
